In Italian ‘spizzicheria’ means ‘picking’ — effectively, the venue’s owners Mario Tolardo & Franco Tambasco telling you to pick spritz. The duo have been in the restaurant business since 1993. You may remember the duo from their Nedlands restaurant Osteria Dei Sapori, where they were renowned for banging saucepan lids together at ear-bleeding decibels whenever a customer had a birthday to celebrate.
While our customers can’t visit Spritz at the moment, we want everyone to experience Spritz at home. We want everyone to be able to share “spritz time” from wherever they are.
“When I thought about what makes Spritz, I thought it is the spirit that makes people spontaneously come together and enjoy each other’s company – and that is what I want it to be always,” Tolardo says.
A spritz is a beverage that can be enjoyed at any time of the day, on any day of the week. Thankfully, the venue is open for takeaway Wednesday through Sunday from 4:30pm – 8:30pm, so you can treat yourself to a bubble-filled beverage and some nibbles on most days of the week.
